ISO 14001 Certification Programme
This was an assignment to obtain ISO 14001 certification for global oil and gas production operations, starting with gap analysis and including tendering, selection and mobilisation of an accredited certification body.
One of the challenges was to establish a contractual and working balance between, on the one hand, autonomous business units responsible for their own certification and, on the other, the need for corporate oversight and learning from the ISO 14001 programme. The solution was to build into the agreement the requirement for the overall audit team leader to attend most audits and provide the global overview and feedback to corporate sponsors.
