Management systems

Your system designed for your reality

We love to create new management systems for new clients. Some clients come to us with old, unsuitable, over-documented management systems that bear no relation to the way they actually operate. We'll fix it if we can, but we're not afraid to tell you if you need to start again.

Q! Engagement

Benefits

A quality management system is intended to focus leaders on two things: meeting customer expectations for quality, and providing customers with confidence that their expectations will be met. Clearly, any system that can improve the likelihood of delivering a quality product or service is going to beneficial for a company’s reputation. If that can be done by preventing quality problems from arising, rather than fixing them at a later stage, then the QMS is also good for efficiency and soon pays for itself by reducing waste, rework, changes, scrap, supplier returns, etc. The principles of quality management can be extended to almost any aspect of business and many experts promote fully integrated business management systems (BMS) to put that concept into practice.

What we do

Qfactorial designs bespoke quality and business management systems to suit the specific needs of any organization. In many cases we use the internationally recognised standard ISO 9001 as a foundation, however we are equally happy to apply sector-specific standards such as ISO 29001 (oil and gas) or the AS 9100 series (aviation, space and defence) or to create something totally unique from first principles. We can leave plug and play connections for other management systems to be integrated at a later date. Where required, we can also lead through the ISO certification process.

What you get

All the elements of a QMS or BMS clearly and concisely documented. Leadership and/or support for you and your people as you launch, roll-out and implement the system. Resources for stakeholder engagement and communications. Tools and guidance for system maintenance and improvement activities. You’ll notice we haven’t mentioned quality manuals, procedures or forms as these, whilst common, are not necessarily part of your solution (times have changed…)

Benefits

Cloning of management systems was disastrous for quality in the 1980’s/90’s. Many businesses are still living with that legacy of irrelevant paperwork. Hopefully they have learned the lesson that unless you are an off-the-shelf business, you shouldn’t buy an off-the-shelf system.
