Collaborative working and maturity assessment
Concern about maximising the performance of virtual teams for project delivery prompted this international engineering organization to request an independent review of current arrangements for work sharing. Recent experience of collaboration between offices in UK, India and Algeria formed the basis of the review.
QFactorial Service offering
We designed a semi-structured survey, consisting of interviews with a cross section of people experienced with work share arrangements. Corporate and project-specific documents, as well as external benchmarks, were considered as context and framing for the interviews.
Quality is not just about ISO 9001. We work with a range of different standards so we can give a broader and better service to our clients.
Several themes emerged from the interviews, broadly grouped into culture, competence and controls. A structured list of recommendations was presented to the project steering group, together with a roll-out plan, including a maturity assessment matrix to enable performance improvement to be periodically evaluated.View all case studies
"Qfactorial helped Petrofac develop methodology to assess the maturity of our work-share processes. Unlike conventional auditing, Work-Share assessment measures the maturity of the work process governing leadership, communication, systems, people, culture, performance and productivity.
As an output from this initiative, Qfactorial produced a procedure and checklist to define the Work-Share process and assess its effectiveness on projects. The assessment process has drawn noteworthy recognition from LRQA who considered this to be a best practice approach in the Oil and Gas sector."
