Business Continuity Plan
This was a project to create the first business continuity plan for this heavy engineering company, in the context of rapid expansion, high risk business development strategy and Y2K / “Millennium Bug” concerns.
The project required collaboration and integration across all production and support functions and included risk assessment, emergency response and disaster recovery elements. The team was challenged to accommodate the opening of a second machine shop and the associated re-organization that occurred mid-project. However, this challenge was converted to an opportunity as it provided the possibility for the two sites to share risks and responsibilities to their advantage.
