Management of Change
With poor Management of Change (MoC) recognized as one of the main contributory factors in process safety incidents, the target was to raise the standard of MoC across the global organization.
Working closely with a network of MoC Champions and practitioners, and with the help of a team of external consultants, the corporate MoC Standard was revised, a toolkit of guidelines, templates and case studies established, and training workshops delivered in key exploration and production locations. Specific implementation activities were focused on engineering, operational, organizational and IT change. The MoC project was integrated into a broader transformation agenda, including the company’s Incident-Free culture change programme.
