Quality Programmes for Nuclear Fabrication Projects
This world-renowned manufacturer of power and process plant equipment required quality programmes to be developed and implemented for a range of civil nuclear products, including pressure vessels, piping modules, flasks and glove boxes.
Quality programmes were developed for each equipment type, including detailed plans for verification during procurement and manufacturing. Special processes included welding, heat treatment, weld cladding and clean room operations.
The quality programmes passed client scrutiny against the stringent requirements of BS 5882, then the recognized UK quality assurance standard for nuclear installations.
