Unlike a certification project, a Maturity Assessment is not a one-time exercise. An initial baseline assessment can typically be completed within a month, though this depends on the scope and whether a bespoke model needs to be developed. The real value comes from repeating the assessment on an agreed cycle (quarterly, six-monthly or annually) building a picture of how maturity is evolving over time and keeping improvement a continuous priority rather than a periodic project.
