Global SCS

Operational excellence in Global Procurement and Supply Chain functions

Client Challenge

Global SCS operates across six continents, and their international client needed a framework for standardising supply chain quality management across a huge, dispersed business.
We were brought in to build the guidelines and tools from scratch, then asked back for a follow-up project embedding risk-based quality management into procurement in a remote shared services function.

“The approach to understanding the issues faced by the organisation and implementing practical solutions was fundamental to the success of the project.”

Key challenges included:

Supply chain quality varying wildly across six continents

No common framework for quality risk or cost

Remote shared services function needing its own approach

Procurement decisions needing consistent risk ratings

Stakeholders spread across locations, levels and functions

Outcomes achieved

Common quality framework built for six continents

45 major deliverables produced across engagement

Risk-based procurement framework designed for GSS function

Toolbox of standards and templates handed over

Rollout plan delivered for the next phase

Gosh, you shouldn’t have…
